I hope they don't try to change this model. I've tried the new soft-close models that Butler Creek put out a few years back and they were terrible. sometimes Original is best. I use these on all my scopes and binocular objectives (since no binocular makers seem to care about binocular objectives).

I've been using Butler Creek Flip Scope Covers for about 20 years on all my scopes (rifle and pistol)and had no problems with them. I will keep buying them every time I purchase scopes.

Nice quality. Rubberized ends install with a sealed fit. Spring loaded covers are quiet and open quickly. Go to http://www.butlercreek.com/products/scopes_flip_open.html for size chart. Covers fit up to 025" undersize and up to.002" larger than scope end. The objective end of my scope was .025" larger (max) than the cover and went on tight but required no lube or excessive force. Very happy with this brand.
