Advanced optics are capable of providing 1.5X night vision magnification in low light conditions, at up to 200 yards of detection distance.
The Yukon NVRS Titanium 1.5X42 scope features enhanced optics, a durable titanium body, and sleek lines. Called the "Varmint Hunter," it's the smallest and lightest model in the company's Titanium line. A long mount and ergonomic design create a comfortable shooting experience, while also enabling the scope to accommodate a wide range of rifles, including bolt action. The powerful 42-millimeter lens provides high resolution and light gathering capabilities.

Flip-up lens covers open to reveal quality multicoated optics and an illuminated reticle. An exclusive Pulse built-in infrared illuminator expands viewing range while minimizing battery drainage. It provides the maximum possible infrared output, but allows the illuminator diode to pulse, protecting the IR from burning out. This pulsing is invisible to the human eye, but means the illuminator can penetrate longer distances.

The scope is digital camera adaptable with the digital camera accessory, and additional accessories--sold separately--include a laser pointer, AK adapter, IR flashlight, and doubler lens.

5Amazed at the how effective a tool this is...
By DP_Holland
I am an avid hog hunter, and have dispatched literally scores of porcine abominations over the years in the piney woods of East Texas. The problem with hog hunting is that even though there is no defined season, hunting in the summer in Texas can be brutal. Additionally it is difficult, since hogs will hide during the heat of the day and only come out at night.

With all of this said, I was anxious to add night vision capability to my arsenal; however, I didn't want to take out a second mortgage to do so. I had read numerous arm-chair commandos on internet boards that suggested that Gen 1 night vision was absolutely useless, and you would be better off purchasing a good flashlight.

Well I can tell you, in my experience, this is very far from the truth when it comes to Yukon optics.

I first purchased, in order to try it out, a Yukon 4 power, 50mm objective monocular. I was sold, it worked wonderfully, and the IR illuminator lit things up like day.

With that experience under my belt I stepped up and bought this 1.5x42 scope. I mounted it on an AR-15 and also purchased and mounted a streamlight 850nm (infrared) strion light. What a combo! I have killed several hogs in the pitch black of night, even out to 100 yards. With the Streamlight, I am able to shoot for groups at 100 yards, no problem.

The scope is smaller and lighter than most Gen 1 abominations. It seems tough as nails (I haven't torture tested it or anything) and battery life is excellent.

I couldn't be happier with my foray into the night vision game. I can honestly say that this product can be used in actual hunting conditions and perform.

5Yukon NVRS 1.5x42
By Gunny G USMC
OK, I had this in my Amazon Basket. The price dropped to 389.99 W No Tax or Shipping. As I was inpro the price jumped back to 399.99. It was reduced less than a day here so; I bought from B&H.PhotoVideo online store instead. 389.99 W No Tax or Shipping. B&H is awesome and I had it well packaged and within 2 days.

Now, I have been a US Marine for 23 years. I am getting out of the game due to combat injuries, Left leg full of metal ect. I have used Uncle Sams' NV platforms for years. NV Scopes on .50 Cal, Aviation Helmet NV Goggles for aviation ops ect. The latest Generation stuff available.

I was very skeptical. I couldn't afford 5, 10, 15 grand or more so I gave this a try. It had good reviews. Of course it's not comparable to what I was provided by Gov. but I was pleasantly surprised. So far it's well built. The night vision works. I have no black, dark or void spots whatsoever. I am extremely happy with this product, for the money.

No regrets so far.
I have taken it out and played with it. I bought it for my personal M4 platform in 5.56. I am still trying to figure if I am going to have to zero it at night or not. The reticle is red on a green field and reticle intensity is adjustable. This is not a scope I would want to use busting into a drug cartels compound but, in a civilian defensive mode it is a nice tool to have. For killing insurgent deer and wild boar and stuff, it should work nicely. Yea baby, eat more meat! Most of my shooting is precision shooting and practice. I may try to hunt pigs and coyotes at night if it's legal. I need to check local laws on night hunting first.

Something I noticed, When there is heavy brush or bush, trees and stuff up close, it tends to wash out the picture some. Only with the IR light on. Too much light reflecting. It's easy to flip off the IR though and go into a more passive NV mode without Infrared Assist.

After I zero it and shoot a few hundred rounds at night I will weigh in and give my opinion again. I hope this review helps someone else. Have fun, Be Safe, and Semper Fidelis! "always faithful"

5Yukon NVRS Titanium 1.5X42 Night Vision Scope, Weaver Mount
By Bargain Hunter#1
This scope is great and is equal to the 1st generation night vision scopes I used in the military. Holds zero from the recoil on all my AR15, AK47 and SVD rifles. Great for deer hunting because you're not spotlighting deer, and excellent for hog hunting. Keeping the lens cover down at night works just as good as keeping it down during daylight because there's plenty of IR light. Animals that feed in the night don't stand much of chance when you're using scope.
